NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), the leading media company serving Hispanic America, partnered with ACTV8me, an enhanced TV advertising platform, to shape a new approach in broadcast advertising allowing viewers to conveniently purchase products and unlock offers while they are watching their favorite programs.
“Our partnership with ACTV8me helps further deliver a tailored experience for both brands and our viewers.”
ACTV8me’s platform enables advertisers to send tailored offers directly to a consumer’s mobile device during television, radio, and streaming media programming. Inaudible triggers enable the instant transfer of offers and content to the consumer’s native mobile wallet (Apple Wallet or Google Wallet), which can then be redeemed online or in-store.
“Univision is always looking for innovative ways to enhance our partners’ activations while providing measurable results in real-time,” said Sam Abiad, SVP of Ad Sales Operations. “Our partnership with ACTV8me helps further deliver a tailored experience for both brands and our viewers.”
The ACTV8 and Univision partnership will also launch interactive programming, which will prompt Univision viewers to download the free Mobii app while watching “Despierta America.” When an interactive segment airs, viewers will receive mobile offers tied to the on-air programming. Viewers are able to save these offers to their mobile wallet, which are redeemable either online or in-store.
“Our platform was built on the notion that everyone in the ecosystem wins; the network, the advertiser and most importantly the viewer,” added Brian Shuster, Founder and CEO of ACTV8me. “By delivering real monetizable value that entices viewers to watch and engage, it also generates a wealth of new analytics that allows brands and networks to better understand their audience.”
With regional and national trials exceeding expectations, Univision is now implementing ACTV8me’s “Shop While You Watch,” which allows viewers to purchase items directly through their mobile devices from their televisions. Starting on Tuesday, December 19th, 2017, this feature will be available on “Despierta America” and other Univision programs.
ACTV8 is a global media integration platform that enables the transfer of contextually targeted, personalized advertisements and content from any media source to a user’s mobile device, and into the increasingly valuable mobile wallet. ACTV8’s data-driven advertising platform adds a transactional layer to advertisements and programming across TV, radio, live events, and retail.
ACTV8me’s enterprise multi-screen platform was built over five years, with a vision and focus to empower users to interact with media, while integrating social channel engagements, along with a new digital ad model that creates a first-of-its-kind, one-to-one relationship with the consumer.
ACTV8 operates a standalone consumer-facing mobile application (iOS, Android) named Mobii, as well as a world-class SDK, which can be seamlessly embedded into any existing mobile application.
The company has already launched various uses of its platform with FOX, NBC, ESPN, and others. ACTV8me is headquartered in Beverly Hills, CA.
